Yup. Premixed or mix yourself.
TD5 takes around 11 litres if you drain the entire system to zero. Round about 5 litres if you drain the majority |

So a drain, flush through and then 5L of premix and top with water. 1999 Defender TD5 110

If I was to drain out more than 5L and filled with premix but still needed to top up, I would top with water. 1999 Defender TD5 110

For the price difference it makes more sense to buy concentrate. put 5l in then fill the rest with water.
It's a pretty hard system to drain properly. When I first did mine I kept finding pockets of yellow/green fluid! Had to bust off several pipes and flush through with loads of water. |

Dropped the coolant yesterday and swapped the thermostat. Gave the rad a flush and the heater matrix as well. Gone clean water out.
Got 5l of red OAT in and 2.5l of water. Went to undo the bleed screw and managed to break the rubber so now the bleed screw does not seal...... so a new hose needed. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Hi excossack
same happened to me with bleed screw. Brought new one from dealer and managed to get a purchase on broken screw that was left in and slowly unwound it. Even tried to drill it out but eventually used pliers (thin nose) and got it out that way to Hugh relief |
