Looking forward to it
![]() ![]() We had a couple of paddle steamers on the Isle of Wight that took part. The Medway Queen and the Ryde Queen. I think they both did, the Medway Queen certainly did anyway. Sadly both were left to rot for years along the River Medina, until thankfully the Medway Queen was saved and is being restored to her former glory on the River Medway. The Ryde Queen very sadly wasn't saved and is now beyond restoring it seems. Its so sad to see her horribly rotten hulk now. Both ships were night clubs back in the 60's & 70's and I had many memorable nights on the Ryde, and quite a few I cant remember clearly LOL http://www.medwayqueen.co.uk https://onthewight.com/paddle-steamer-ryde...o-gallery/ |

Thanks for those links, well at least one is being restored.
The boat we were on was only a little one,...plenty of atmosphere though, beautifully presented/maintained, with lots of polished woodwork & brass fittings etc. I'm sure you'll enjoy the film. Thanks, Pickles. |

I thought it was a great film. Nothing like I've seen before. Highly recommended

HI
Went last night not knowing what to expect and I was really impressed. Not a classic war film 'them and us' rather normal blokes in extraordinary times. All credit to the film makers and Director. I might just go back and see it again. |

We saw it yesterday and loved it.
It's not so much a story I think, more like you are an observer of stuff going on. Most unlike any other film. |
