Aftermarket add-ons
hi all.

As the D3 is getting a fair bit of duco damage by spending too much time in the bush, i have a 130 in my sights (one good LR derserves another, right?). Anyone able to comment on the general availability of aftermarket add-ons in OZ?

thanks in advance, Tristan

General stuff like bullbars, towbars, roofracks and snorkels are fine since a lot of it is made here anyway (TJM, ARB, Safari etc.) You will most likely need to import the more Defender specific add-ons like headlight & tail light protectors, bodywork protection, sliders etc. as well as interior mods. There is Censored all new stuff available for the 07MY Defender yet, but the main external stuff hasn't changed. Snorkels are the only major item that we are yet to see an updated design since LR moved the air intake. 2007 Defender 110

Has anyone heard if there is a local one coming (i.e. safari)? I imagine LR do a genuine raised air intake - any feedback on that?

The dealer suggested that they hadn't sorted the snorkel "yet". With the new Defenders selling like hotcakes (albeit very slowly baked ones) then it is bound to happen soon. I imagine the only issue is with the internal pipework ducting from the engine air-intake to the snorkel mounting base. 2007 Defender 110

Hi TDMP

Here in Blighty there is already one aftermarket RAI for the new Defender, both Andrew S and I have fitted them and no complaints, been a bit of PI55 taking about the shape, but it works!

Mate - I have a 07 Defender 110 - it now has genuine LR Snokel, Weathershields, Front Mudflaps, Full checker plate kit, rear worklight and headlight protectors. So these genuine parts are available now.

Opposite Lock have fitted Outback cargo drawers, a bash plate, diff guards and a rear wheel carrier - so these parts carry over from the TD5.

Jan '08 sees OL release a 45 litre aux gravity feed fuel tank and rear diff guard which I've ordered. The only part I can't fit is a Milford cargo barrier as the rear seats are different.
