Nick, if you have a Td5, I would recommend you stick to it! -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

No, a 08 Tdci, hence 3 years old and will be out of warranty. |

I would say - although at three years you have a puma - if you had a td5, replace it...the pumas are better. Mike

Nick, in your shoes I would keep it. You know your vehicle by now and there's no guarantee that a new one will not give you problems. Rather the devil you know than the one you don't ![]() Besides, by now the indie workshops are familiar with the Puma and can service/repair them at lower costs than stealers! -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

I'm trading my 59 plate Defender for a new one which hopefully will be delivered in April. I've opted for the Goodyear M/Ts tyres has anyone tried these and are they any good? I currently have BF Goodrich M/Ts on my current Defender and was tempted to swap them with my new Defender tyres on delivery.

I had Goodyear MT's on the disco a few years ago...i liked them, they used them on the G4 events.
Only sold them as the size i had went into stock problems and i needed 1. Mike |

My D3 has MT/Rs and they are fine in terms of handling in the wet etc. and were good in the snow but they do make a fair bit of noise. Also some report mpg hit of 10% or more.

I kept the 1992 200 tdi 110 sw, when we bought the Puma. I loved driving the tdi for the 12 years it was the family car. Now when I drive the tdi it makes me appreciate the Puma all the more. ![]() 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Why isn't anyone thinking about the General Grabber 2's?
If you look around on the web you'll find some damn good reviews. My Grabbers have 100 000km on now and i reckon i'll put the 2's on in the next few weeks. www.ralton.co.za |

Never been a big Fan of AT2's on the D3 however after talking to AJS re Winter tyre options it turns out that General Grabber AT2 in 265 is Winter (Snowflake) rated so that will be my option for next year

I use the 265/75x16 General AT2 all year round on my Utilty, suit me and are very popular with my customers.
![]() Do have 235/85x16 Goodyear MT/R on the X-Tech but find them a tad noisy, thats what it's fitted with so will give them a few hundred miles to see if they quieten down, if not General AT2 will go on. Ken, I will look at the 285/75x16 AT2 and see if it's snowflaked. ![]() Andy. |
