I promise not to turn it into a low-rider but I do need to drop it 1"
First mod arrived in the post today - nothing too big, or expensive, but a nice touch of vintage. |

Did you buy it as a soft top or did you convert from a pick up or WHY?
Edit...sorry, you've already answered that. I'll go back and read through. 110 DCPU Mark |

Mark, only thing I didn't mention is that it has an Exmoor Stayfast hood, which is actually a lot nicer, and better quality, than I expected - especially the way it attaches to the bodywork:

The hood does look spot on. The colour is perfect against Aintree.

This was the inspiration for the Keswick Defender 2.2 90 Pick-Up I agreed a deal on this afternoon. Collecting on Monday
Now I need to get some bits ordered - hope it's a fairly straightforward conversion 110 DCPU Mark |

Mark, get ready to need some lowering springs, unless you have VERY high garage doors or are going to park it outside.
I'm currently having mine dropped by 1.5" (level, so actually a little bit lower at the rear) because they SD cage sits quite high and, as a pickup, they don't have a lot of weight in the rear, which only makes things worse. Last edited by Mr Fox on 14th Jul 2017 10:06pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It'll probably have to sit on the drive. I have my other Defender in the garage with a 911.
Hadn't realised it would be taller than my SW. 110 DCPU Mark |

That's a very kind offer
Might take a little while....I haven't attempted anything like it before. Quite excited by the idea though 110 DCPU Mark |

A quickie for you MrFox.
The basis for the conversion is a 2014 90 Pick Up. Exmoor Trim seem to carry all the bits I need. So just to clarify, I'll need: http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/xs-hood-heavy-duty-bar-set.html http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/90-inch-xs-hood-defender.html http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/90-xs-drain-ch...oated.html Anything I'm missing? Cheers 110 DCPU Mark |

Safety Devices RBL2367SSS http://www.safetydevices.com/expedition/pr.../323/1798/ Roof is this one:- Defender 90 Full Stayfast Hood - in my case, the one without the side windows http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/90-defender-fu...-2471.html And yes, the hood kit:- http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/90-xs-drain-ch...oated.html |

Thanks....I'm pretty sure that the Exmoor item is the same L236 Safety Devices product? I'll check with them. I'd prefer to order it all from one place if possible.
Good pick up....I don't want the XS hood with Alpine lights etc so that'll save me a few pounds. Now just have to think about colour.....Sand or Black with Keswick? 110 DCPU Mark |

For me there's no question, has to be Keswick and Sand (or Limestone if you can get) with matching wheels! Saw one this week and it looked stunning! But that's just my opinion James
