United Kingdom 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green
Melvill and Moon Front Seat Covers
Hi everyone,

New here and this is my 2nd post!

Anyone here fitted Melvill and Moon front seat covers? I have them fitted in the Freelander and they are fine.

However the set for the Defender all fit ok but I can't get the seat base to locate back in the base as the material seems to stop the seat base going back far enough for the pegs to drop into the slots.

Any tips on fitting please?

Cheers,

Jason

Needs a bit of brute force to initially get them in. I have the Exmoor canvas versions and had the same problem.

I've got M&M seat covers and can't recall any issues fitting them at all. This makes me thing I have fitted them incorrectly and missed out on some suffering Laughing

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I did do a search but nothing came back. Maybe I should have just tried seat covers Laughing

defender9 - Do they get easier as they wear in?

Hutopia - How did you tie off the drawer cords please? Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Big Cry

Thank you.

Yes it's a Purdue & Blue print. Had a custom one done. The service is excellent!

M&M..
Seat base can be a problem yes.

Drop the backrest backwards towards horizontal as far as it can go - it creates an opening above the seat base.

Pull the rearward facing material through this gap and tie in the easiest way suitable.

When nicely positioned - return backrest to desired position.

Still thinking of gluing/stapling some Velcro to the tying ends to make it easier for joining.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

I fitted mine yesterday and it was a struggle; I ended up taking the plastic things out of the back, where the rear pins secure. That allowed me (just) to encourage the sear base into position. I would show you a picture of how I secured the cords, but I don't think I'd get the sear base back in to position again! I had to be pretty minimalist with the way I secured it so that the material would all fit into position. Zermatt Silver 2.4 (with Alive stage 1 remap) TDCi 110 Double Cab Pick Up
