TD5 Tub Puma conversion query??
Has anyone converted the TD5 90 rear tub (to fit Puma/TDCI forward facing rear seats) and if so was any additional support or bracing needed once fitted?

Anyone used the wild bear conversion panels which I am looking at, made from 3mm aluminium....good? bad?

Advice always appreciated folks.

I have just done this exact thing. I swapped the tub as opposed to the conversion panels as I thought it was a safer and better finished job than the conversion panel.

The bonus of the CSW tub is that it has no bulkhead and so you benefit from more room in the front Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I would highly recommend the panel from Chris Kill at CSK to say over engineered is a understatement

If you don't fancy doing it yourself he can fit also

Took me a day to do both side incfitting the seats 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Thanks chaps, yes looking at fitting a conversion panel not the whole tub

I was more concerned about any structural work to support the panel as it looks like some of the TD5 supports are removed when the section is removed

Probably being over cautious....

Will check out the CSK panels

The panels are perfectly strong enough just make sure when you fit seats you use a decent size spreader plate on each bolt i tiger sealed and riveted mine and it's stronger than before tbh

I also fitted the correct mountings from lr for the seatbelt anchor as well as genuine side panel supports

It's worth doing properly rather than some bodge jobs I've seen 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Having seen both I would stick with the CSK panels better built and stronger 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

What are the other panels though, just want a look. Are the latest CSK panels the small ones or do they skin the whole box?

The CSK ones are seem welded and thicker alloy. They pretty much cover the whole length of the box as below

PJ, what are the genuine side panel supports you mention? Do you mean this part....

....or something else? If something other than this, could I trouble you for a part number please?

Yes that's the one the only safe way to anchor the rear seat belts properly

I would also suggest to get the under tub supper for the bottom anchor point to

I'll try find a link for you 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)
