My V8 110 CSW
So a quick bit of background, I have always been surrounded by all sorts of Land Rover growing up - with LWB station wagons being a main part as they where what my mum always drove! Eventually she moved onto 90's and then ultimately Freelanders but for me LWB station wagons have stuck.

When I was early 20's I was buying 110's cheaply (there was once a time!) and selling them on a for a quick proft, always V8's and always station wagons. I had one (F plate in Shire Blue) that I had a 3.9 EFI dropped in to, the bulkhead shoved full of filler Rolling Eyes and some great times in Wink

Then gradually I got into the main dealer network and always had a Defender as my demo so no real need for the older ones. Obviously I did the logical thing and carried on buying (and sometimes selling!) older series stuff and bought a G4 110 for off roading.

After drowing that (photos on here somewhere!) the G4 got parked up, I had my first child and didnt miss it. So I sold it.

Change in job location, no more new Defenders and I had series thoughts about coming out of company cars and getting a 110 again.

Problem is I dont really fancy a Puma. I have had loads of them, some bad, some average and a couple of really good ones but I dont feel the urge to own one (plus we have a couple on the farm and my brother has one I occasionally use!). What I want is a V8 again...

So I started looking for a Massi Red 110 V8 approx '84 or '85. Missed one by a day Big Cry

Second ideal an Eastnor Green '90 110 - first of the Defenders.

Handily I have one tucked away!!

Last one the road in 2006 - I bought it years ago, had a recon LT85 box fitted, 3.9 EFI replaced the 3.5 on carbs and then parked it up (various reasons). Over the years sold the doors when money was tight Sad and a few other bits got picked of it.

Trying to get doors was a pain. I'm very fussy where they come from but it took some time. I also wanted elec windows, CDL and as new and undamaged as possible!

On the way to have clutch sorted and doors fitted

Now with doors but that rear tub worried me.

Trying to find a bodyshop that would commit to taking it on was hard. Lots of broken promises I eventually got in touch with some that used to work at the same dealership and now runs a body shop. Handy!

Next stage was getting the MOT sorted.

Needed normal consumables, servicing and a brake caliper but otherwise no real issues.

Had Blue Polybushes fitted, Old Man Emu Springs and Shocks and Exmoor Trim seats.

United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Orkney Grey
Very nice indeed Thumbs Up

Please could I ask does the second row, middle seat have a 3 point seat belt and if so wondered where the top link is secured? Been looking at these three separate middle row seats for my Puma Embarassed as they seem very practical being able to either drop or remove the middle seat individually, but never been able to fathom how the seat belt works? TIA James
