Hi All,
I've got a pretty stupid question, but why do people put rear wheel carriers on defenders? Is it just because it lightens the weight of the door making it easier to close? Or is there a bigger and better reason? Thanks in advance! Chris |

the rear doors start to develope problems with all that weight on them, the hindges and basic door frame are the same from when the spare was on the bonnet, now peole have an alloy with a tyre more than twice the size as 30 years ago, i guess its a defender thing.
