Ciao,

What sort of battery time you guys getting from your torch? I get about 5 mins before it's flat, which seems very low for something that's LED. Do you think it will be easy enough to change the batteries?

Cheers

Yan

5 minutes? Shocked My Varta LED torch last weeks before charging and I use it every night for the horses.

In the Defender I keep a small freebee LED torch on the shelf bit by the steering wheel, along with the petrol cap key.

my torch goes off within 15 seconds of turning it on. To turn it on again I have to unplug the batteries or swich it again on the dock.
Checked the batteries are full.
Does anybody have the same issue?
Does anybody know the manufacturer of the torch?

Tombte,

I had some problems with mine but I think it's to do with the batteries. I have replaced the battery pack and all seems ok now.

I just brought some rechargeable batteries online and made a new pack using the existing connectors and resistor.

I think the intstalls look brilliant but my reservation is who makes these and whats the quality like for the money. If I want a 4x4 I buy land rover but I wouldnt buy a land rover watch or a land rover phone. Having "Land Rover" on a torch to me doesnt add kudos or value. If I was buying a torch Id check out maglite or streamlight that I know from experience give brilliant service for years and have a lifetime guarantee. A few of the posts seem to suggest there may be indications that the quality is not up to scratch. I keep a little led military torch in my 110, led and cost less than £10 but the batteries last for ever, it works in the rain for hours and I can have 10 for the cost of one of these. I can even keep a spare set of batteries with it and it takes up less room than having one of these.

Branded Land Rover quality torches do exist. Like my “67 Years” mini Mag LED torch with its well crafted SS/leather holder. Nice LED lightbeam, even has an SOS signal function.
Was a great initiative from our Swiss importer during the last production year. Thumbs Up

Land Rover don't make any of them, not even the evoque ones. Much like they don't make headlights or wheels either. They just buy them in.

That is correct, and luckily so I would say. Means it will work like a real MagLite and not like a D5 or so. Laughing
But have to say that this little MagLite holder is extremely well tailor designed and produced by our Swiss importer, so kudos to them for this LR branded touch. Thumbs Up
