Lazer RS-4s in the bumper, Lazer ST-4s in the grill, Lazer Triple-R 24 bar on the front of the roof rack, and Lazer ST-2s on the rear of the roof rack so you can see going backwards. LED headlights as well. Has to be seen to be believed as no photo or video does these lights justice, not even Lazers own videos.

I know Lazer lights are a little pricey, but they're well worth it. Just a couple of ST-4s on the front will give an amazing amount of light to be honest. No need for expensive light bars as well.

That had me chuckling. I had a look at the lazer lights and they do look the business but they are a tad on the pricey side. However I am interested in what people find that actually works and if these do then

I fitted an LED light bar. Was great.
Then I upgraded my headlights to LED - I now don't switch on the light bar unless I'm off-road. My money would be to invest in LED headlights, you'd also be legal to use them on the public highway... (assuming they have an E mark obviously) TD5 Defender 90 Discovery 3 HSE |

I know I'm a tad biased as I sell Rigid Industries lighting, but I think Lazers, no matter how "good" people say they are, are overpriced for what you actually get. Their warranty is only 5 years, against Limited Lifetime on the Rigid Industries products (essentially lifetime on everything non-cosmetic). And with a bigger range, the Rigid kit is a bit more flexible when it comes to taste.
Personally as much as I'd like to suggest spending £££s on Rigid kit, you're definitely best off using your initial money on doing your headlights. After all, dipped beam is where you spend most of your time at night. After that I would suggest going for something simple, depending on your mounting options. It often doesn't need huge lightbars to achieve what you want, as long as you select carefully the beam types you want for use, and often individual lights can be better than one big bar, especially in terms of coverage of angles and elimination of reflections. If you want to have a play with the Rigid Industries Viewer, follow this link: http://viewer.rigidindustries.com/ Its a handy tool, although basic to show you the various outputs of different beam types, although seeing them in person is much better. Any more queries, feel free to PM me. cheers Duncan North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader |
