Where is that boss kit from as that would be a good security deterrent for mine.. |

I can take some later if your interested?
I wouldn't by another one with suede, that wore away within 6 months! Funny, I was looking at it on my way to work this morning, thinking for the money it didn't last that long... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Had my Momo Jet leather wheel for just short of a year now and its like new still, but then I've not done anything like your mileage. I do use Autoglym leather care balm on mine.

I've never done anything to mine, just get in it and drive.
Mine certainly doesn't look new anymore The 85,000 mile original XS wheel I took off, and stupidly sold looked like brand new. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

It looks like the FCX set up the same as mine. Optimill will shortly be bringing our a detachable boss to fit the Startech which is not only thinner (wheel slightly further away) but has a lock for the 'stump' for extra extra security. Here's something I've been pondering... My defender has the 36 spline steering column. The old school defender (series?) steering wheels are 36 spline.
Is there any reason why I couldn't use one in my Defender? Like indicator auto-cancelling or something? I like the idea of the 'heritage' feel! Click image to enlarge |
