All of them are more akin to dictators than leaders. We don't need much governing really, as the wheels of society and industry roll on. 👍🏻 ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

The Conservatives have run one of the most inept campaigns in the history of politics and largely got what they deserve for raising "inept" to an art form. "Strong and stable" my foot!

The Labour party ran a despicable and dishonest campaign based on promises that thay cannot believe they could keep; "we'll give you whatever you want if you vote for us", Labour must know that you you cannot spend 75 billion that you don't have without catastrophic long term consequences, whatever Ms Abbott might say.

The Lib Dems were doomed from the start, but we knew that beforehand.

All in all British politics continues to be dominated by second-rate politicians who are entirely out of touch with the electorate.

The only good thing I have seen sofar from this whole sorry debacle is that the Poison Pixie of Scottish politics, the odious Ms Sturgeon, has received a good kicking and been absent from our screens for the last 12 hours. So every cloud has a silver lining!

We are in for some interesting times, I think.

SPOT ON,..particularly your third Para.
We have the same in Aussie from the Labor Party....They make totally unfunded "vote getting" promises, which massively increases long term debt, they mount "scare campaigns" (almost lies) which people seem to believe, and they run better campaigns (not necessarily based on the truth)....and they are super weak on border protection. I fear Labor will win Govt in a couple of years, which will not be good for Aussie.

errr... thats simply not true Pickles, Labour submitted their costed manifesto to the OBR watchdog setup by George Osbourne for verification, the Conservatives didn't.

Costed off of business at a crucial time and garden tax.

Garden tax, what a super way to screw up our beautiful land. Shocked

Business would either leave or pass on the cost, that's if we didn't end up with higher VAT too. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

That's a fair comment and I do agree it will be a factor for corporations investing in the UK. However my rational is we have a mature market and most of the key corperates have already invested in integration and supply/delivery systems. Plus the revenue potential offsets the additional taxation.

Garden tax is just nutty. 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

On the plus side for everybody, because it was a little bit on the close side it should encourage the Tories to not go too far themselves. (Or take people for granted!) We need to stop attacking groups of society and aide everyone to move forwards together. It's not us as people that do it, it's politicians that encourage it. Bit like Clinton was trying to as good as say women should vote against men. I for one am glad it's over, three votes in blooming three years ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

It is very interesting the campaign that has been run on social media. Being of an age whereby that term meant little to me ,i was in formed by the kids and their kids of the enormous brainwashing campaign that was unleashed by the left wing. Never a day went past without a derogatory remark or cartoon about Mrs May being accompanied with a wonderful story about Mr Corbyn. The saviour of the world fighting the evil right wing was how one message started. I understand that I am out of touch with modern methods,(I do own a Defender.), but the sheer volume must have had a tremendous effect on what I would refer to as the gullible and I suspect is the way of things to come.
Oh how I relish being elderly, this environment is fast becoming robotic.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but:

While walking down the street one day a MP was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
Welcome to heaven, says St. Peter. Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so were not sure what to do with you.
No problem, just let me in, says the MP.
Well, Id like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What well do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend
eternity.
Really?, Ive made up my mind. I want to be in heaven, says the MP.
Im sorry, but we have our rules.
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.
The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good
time dancing and telling jokes.
They are all having such a good time that before the MP realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, Now its time to visit heaven.
So, 24 hours passed with the MP joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
Well, then, youve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.
The MP reflects for a minute, then he answers: Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he
goes down, down, down to hell.
Now the doors of the elevator open and hes in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.
I dont understand, stammers the MP. Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now theres just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?
The devil smiles at him and says,Yesterday we were campaigning Today, you voted.
