Seapod's 90XS SW - First mods here we come!
After many months of thinking, planning, seeking opinion on here, justifying, man maths and saving, the mods have finally started. Look what arrived today. Ridiculously over excited, Mrs SP is completely mystified as to why.

Will dig out some 'before' photos pre-fitting at the weekend.

They rarely do "get it" if they don't, they don't there's no point in trying to explain!!

You could ask her how she would feel at receiving 4 (or 5) Jimmy Choos in the post!!?? Laughing The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

Fair one. It's a balance isn't it, as long as the 'other' stuff is all done then its fine. If you're blowing a load of cash on mods and the house is falling down it's probably not going to play *brilliantly*!

As is, today. Working vehicle, so not too shiny and clean.

Ha, you don't know how accurate this is. 5 years of house renovations and a vauxhall combi van. Finally finished last year, hence ability to get Defender. Now I need to hide the Saturday property porn paper that arrives to avoid another financial black hole. The good thing is the one time a defender seems 'cheap' is after renovating a 300 year old house!

Ironically there are more 'fragile' stickers on the wheel boxes than on the case of wine next to them that was also delivered today

There are more than a few similarities between house renovation and Defender ownership. A never ending list of jobs, getting fed up handing out money, wondering if the work done is done right etc etc..... Smile

When we did our place 10 or so years ago I had to sell my proper bright orange, sand filled G4 110 to cover the cost of the final bits of work. I'm not sure I've fully recovered.....

Your 90 looks like a great base for mods, I look forward to seeing how it develops! Thumbs Up

5 Bowlers for me, case of wine for the Mrs! That ought to just about do it!

I might be biased but great choice of alloys! 16" or 18"? James

I couldn't wait until Saturday, sod it, skived off work and went to the tyre shop this morning.

And by the time I got home through some Devon lanes, they were nicely muddy

18 inch wheels James, considered 16" but just preferred the 18" when it came down to crunch time. Didn't like the difference in price though!
