Sadly I think they will need it again in a few months time , my money is on a hung parliament with a pact between Labour, SNP and a few marginal parties and when they realise the only thing they have in common is a dislike of the Tories it will all fall apart and we can do it all again Make your vote count people. I still fancy my idea of a fantasy football style of government where you can have anyone regardless of whether they are a politician or not is a far better idea than having any of the above.
No matter who gets in perhaps we should club together to buy them this Regards Barbara |

That sounds a lot like the States where the Pres gets to choose who he wants for his cabinet. Doesn't always work out, of course
Personally, I favour Douglas Adams' take on the subject: anybody that wants to be a politician should on no account be allowed to do so. That is a very good question. Partly, it would seem, so that our PM can gain a more definite mandate, as she has taken on the role mid-term by default. But also with the hope gaining a bigger majority by taking advantage of an opposition perceived to be in disarray. Darren

I'm not sure you will find anyone who can explain British Politics or the reasons behind British Politics.

Well, I'm a long way from you guys, but being an old Pom, and proud, VERY proud of my Heritage (50% Welsh!), I do try to follow what's going on, & from what I've seen, we have many similar issues.
Consequently, with "Security" being a major issue, there's no way I'd want Corbyn running anything. From what I've seen of May, she seems to be a fairly confident Lady,...with a bit of Maggie in her,....so I reckon, well IMHO anyway, with Brexit, Security, and all the other complex issues that we all face, I hope May wins. Just my opinion of course, Pickles. |
