Salisbury rear axle backlash - replace/rebuild?
hello all i have Salisbury rear axle with loads of backlash just wondering best way around this replace with standard axle or rebuild v8 110 any advice info or axles for sale . Nige

No not yet but if you jack one wheel up you can turn the prop shaft left and right about 2 inches , when driving and slowing down you get a metallic pinging sound .

The Salisbury tends too get a better rap than the P38 Puma style axle. However don't think you can check the splines relative to the drive member without removing the wheel and grease cap! Thumbs Up
