Mr GREENI, thanks for that reply. Thinking ahead I had put some nuts/bolts and washers to one side, in case I could not identify the OE bolts and nut plates. I phoned Craddocks to see if they could identify these fixings ( which they did do)but I will hold off till my doors and bits arrive from SP 4x4. Whilst on the phone I asked about the shims that fit behind the striker plate and help pack out the striker. Long story short, they wanted £15.00 each. Looking else where I have seen them for about a fiver a piece. Looking at my safari door I have 4 or 5 behind the striker plate on that one door alone.
I will wait till my SP packages arrive and then determine the best route. Paint ordered from Paint man, body shop on stand by to paint the doors and galv. strips. Can't wait to get on with it. Pictures to follow. Kind regards, S.

I recently made some spacers for my door catches out of some 6mm nylon bought via eBay. Easy enough to do and a LOT cheaper than LR parts.

I am liking that idea. Will fit doors When they arrive and have been painted, then see what packing I need, behind strikers, to bring them out to the locks. S. Thumbs Up
