Ok this gets better by the minute. Took her into the main dealer here in Malta. They confirmed that the resistor needs replacing (and charged me a €19 inspection fee). But then informed me that they don't have it in stock and will take about 3 weeks to arrive.
I asked for the price o the part and am still waiting for an answer! SO I took the Landy back, and on my way home I tried the Blower and its working on all 3 speeds! AC also working on all 3 speeds again too! so...did the little gremlins fix my landy? Main dealer doesn't know what he's doing? i dunno! but i'm really happy its working again! Mark |

AC and Blower died again!
so...back to the original suggestion of replacing the 3 speed blower resistor... Anyone knows what the part number is ? OR where i can find the actual resistor to be able to read the part number off it and eventually replace it? Regards Mark |

Part no for the blower resistor is - JGM500020
It's located at the back right (looking from the front) of the blower assembly. |

OK So I gave the landy a quick powerwash on the weekend, and went for a drive straight after.
What do you know...Blower working and Ac working!!!! Next morning dead again...so got me thinking...burnt resistors don't come back to life.... contrary to the Dealership's €19 diagnosis "Blower resistor must be replaced (about €40 plus labour), but not is stock so wait about 4 weeks" today i went to a good auto electrician, he found a small grey plug just next to the resistor, opened it, cleaned the contacts and tightened them. And now all is ok! Thanks All!! |

The wires in the back ground up against the bulkhead which appear to enter the fan are shagged Before I go and have anothe look can anyone confirm what I need to do to resolve....is my wiring loom a wee bit knackered - on at 6.5 years old it ain't new but surely this shouldn't be happening? |
