They seem like good value for money, pair for £325 (non heated)

They look wide at the shoulder, sure they'll fit a Defender? James

If it takes you 30mins to get a seat from out of a defender... you've probably only got one arm 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

Well i'm not going to itemise the whole thing, but unbolting a seat, checking the fuse or whatever then bolting the seat back in could easily take half an hour. I mean look how much messing about he has to do to fit that in the video, and that's edited. Imagine doing all that at the side of the road in the rain.
Still looks like a whole lot of ball ache to me, compared to just pulling the cushion off and taking to lid off the seat box. |

Okay, I didn't mean that as a jibe at you by the way I was just joking, I removed them on my project just recently and it took less than 10 mins 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

ok fair enough.
Was that less than 10 min just to remove them? I mean did it take another 10 min to put them back? I suppose the biggest issue i'd have with them is that there are plenty of seats from other cars that will fit if you don't mind bolting them in and unbolting them everytime you want to access the seat box. You can get full leather ones for less than £100 second hand. Granted they're a lot cheaper than say Exmoor ones (which have proper Defender subframes), but it's still £200 more than some decent used ones from another car. For example Metro seats fit a Defender, they used to be a popular upgrade in series vehicles, when Metros were 10 a penny in scrap yards. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Metro-Van...SwEHpZKmJP Rover 200/MG ZR seats are based on the Metro seats; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-ZR-Leather-Se...SwWxNYxYJw They're just a couple of examples, the first i came to, but there are those in better condition and different styles to suit most tastes. |
