I want to try a smaller steering wheel than stock, what steering wheels are you guys using?
I quite like this but its a bit more expensive than I had hoped: ![]() http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/moto-lita-steering-wheel-kit.html 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

Have a look at the Momo range lots to choose from.
Bolt on Bits also do a range reasonably priced. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

I prefer the leather one, I would think the suede one would nook crap after a while, though each to their own I bought this Momo and I am really pleased with it.

I have the Startech as I think it suits the Defender and looks OEM IMO, but is very expensive unless you find one second hand

Suede wheels take a bit of looking after as the oils off your hands eventually flatten the nap, they need to be cleaned and brushed regularly. Had one on a racer we bought a few years ago.and it lasted 10 minutes in the mud and spray before it was ruined.

Never had a problem with suede (usually Alcantara), although I don't have sweaty paws
![]() Any if they do get a little grubby they respond well to a damp cloth. This one has lasted 24K miles so far. Admittedly it's never been muddy ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge 110 DCPU Mark |

Mine has a Moto Lita. Fitted by a PO, but I quite like it as it matches all the Black LE factory-fit billet shiny stuff:

I had a Motolita on a mini, they're superb quality and UK made.
The Mountney ones are a lot cheaper, but boy do they feel it. I think there was an Italian firm making similar wheels too, but i forget their name, might have been Astrali or something. These ones normally bolt straight on too; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Mini-ste...Sw8HBZIaf9 |

Kit, depends upon what "look" is in your mind.
But if ya're thinking any way at all "retro", then imho, ya can't go past a Moto-Lita,...absolutely classic, UK made, steering wheels,...from what I've read on this forum, 15" dished is the way to go. Pickles. |
