2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Corris Grey
My oil service light came on a couple of months ago. I also only do short trips and dont drive it every day. It came on after I gave it a blast up the autoroute, ironically going to the Land Rover garage as the Freelander was booked in for a service. I booked the Defender in whilst I was there and have now done 780 kilometers (485 miles) since that service. I'll see how it goes and see if it happens again after a blast on the autoroute.

Puma 90 SW 2.2 BTW.

United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
Legalities aside.....One option would be to remove the dpf and to have a complimentary remap that accounts for the dpf removal. This should cut down on diesel dilution of your engine oil as the vehicle will no longer be doing passive or active dpf regenerations. I imagine this would quite quickly pay back through reduced oil change costs. 2015 110 Defender Heritage Utility Station Wagon
