Duel battery install
Just ordered a blue sea duel battery set up from the mobile centre. Looking at keeping the original battery and adding a second rather than the expense of two new battery's. I am guessing I need to custom a tray as can't find one that fits the original? Is there any other tips / tricks as looking at installing at the weekend.

I slotted another battery in (not as big as the standard). But it doesn't move so I haven't clamped it.

You can slot another standard battery in there but it's a bit tight.

I made something fairly basic to clamp my two batteries in. I can't remember exactly what I did but it wasn't very complicated.

I can confirm that you can fit two standard (019) sized batteries in, but you do need to have a bit of a wiggle around.

I have a feeling I've used some bits of 1/2" ply to do the base, then picked up the standard mounts with some threaded rod and put a bar across the pair to clamp them down.

Thank you for the replays.

Fitted the blue sea system this afternoon just need to hook up the battery. Going to use a small standard battery I have in the shed for now and look at a new bigger duel type after payday. Not sure if to splash out on a odyssey yellow top or just a cheaper one, the yellow top has better cca than most cheaper ones and intend to put a set of jump leads off it.

The relay was supplied with a small fused earth wire however not sure where to put this as it has a extreamly small eye on so can't think of a easy solution.

Unusual for an earth wire to be fused, definitely an earth? Can either cut off the crimp and put a bigger ring crimp in it, or drill a hole in the battery box and attach it.

I thought the same but double checked it is packed as 'pre made earth' Have earthed it to the box.

Just need to get the second battery and connect up the fuse box. Did get the blue sea terminal fuse box however not sure if I have the height to fit so may just fit a proper one
