Steering wheel boss doesn't fit?! Help please!
I did ask on another post but decided to start a fresh one!

I bought a boss that came with a wheel, it's the right number of splines and slides on okay but the boss hits the steering column.

See photos - in only a few turns of the wheel you can see where it's worn the plastic.

It's like the edges of be boss are too deep?! Any suggestions?! My car is a 2009 Puma.

I've tried it on my dads 2003 TD5 and it works on that. It's like the shaft doesn't stick out far enough in comparison.

Suggestions welcome! Thank you.

The plastic cover that it's rubbing on is 2 pieces make sure it's fully to the dashboard might give you those extra few mm

Failing that space the boss or trim the cover

Or buy an optimil boss not heard anyone have issues with them 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Thanks.... yes, housing seems to be in the right place...

Looks like I'll have to trim the boss in the first instance!
