offset question
Hi, i am trying to figure out if som rims will work for me, but don't understand it when i'am calculate it.

My current setup : 35/12.5/r16 trepadors on steel with offset 8 . I have also 2"inch old man emu hD springs.
Apparently that setup didn't work at the back of the 110 (somebody told me the back of 90 is different than a 110 ? )
I put some 30 mm spacers on and that worked, but that was a gamble...

So is my actually offset then 12 or 28 ?

I nox would like to switch my rims to beadlock rims, with the correct offset.

If I look around you have alu terrafirma who states that the ET=20 and bringing the wheel 40 mm outside, i thaught + 20 mm will bring the back of the rim closer to the springs ? so this would not fit.

hutchinson had offset 0,...will this work ? Or is a modular soft 8 beadlock with -41 the solution ?

Hopefully somebody can clarify this, at the moment its very cloudy...

anybody know how to calculate this exactly ?

thx

A positive offset means the wheel centre is inboard of the mounting face, so if you had two otherwise identical rims but one was ER0 and the other ET33, the latter would be 33mm firther inboard.

If you have ET8 rims on 30mm spacers you effective offset is ET-22, ie the wheel is 22mm further out than an ET0 wheel would be.

LR Boost alloys are ET33. Many aftermarket rims are ET0 to bring the wheel further out.
