I've got a 100 Series for sale on eBay.
It IS brilliant. Just not being used and pulling it in and out the drive to get the v8 out isn't doing it much good, I put 2 batteries on it last week. Yep, twin batteries as standard. The 61 is quite bulletproof, as they all are I suppose. Don't overlook the Patrol either (of that era). You just have to find one which isn't rusty..... Luckily my Land Cruiser is rust free!!! |

My mot man had a 100 series lifted onto 35s and I grant tha5 in the right circumstances it was a very competent machine but it was huge, really really huge which more often than not was a problem. Only thing I am aware of mechanically was the rear diff went a bit squiffy and it seemed to like batteries but that could be because of the modifications. I don't know that I would want one though. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I'd love a 78 with the 4.2 straight 6, rear coil converstion and the 80/105 full time 4x4 transfer box. Plus maybe an overdrive.
That would end up being some serious money though. |
