It probably hasnt changed much from the 1970's lol we did some caving and walking with them over the weekend. All seemed to enjoy it and have a good time even with the challenging weather conditions |

Many thanks for the video of the drive down, enjoyed watching it, a bit challenging in places, is your landy ok, not sure if you touched the wall or not ? Thanks again 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Glad you enjoyed the video, there was a few challenging sections, and my disco was okay missed the wall by about 2-3inch, was a very tense moment sliding on ice towards it. but the day after my transfer box destroyed its self, luckily it wasnt whilst on the mountainside Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Glad you missed the wall Yes it did look a bit tense going down as if you was waiting every moment for the landy to just slide Its a shame your TB went but as you say at least it was after coming down the big " hill " 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Progress has slowed down now on the 90, weekends getting busy again with the evenings getting lighter weekend trips away will becoming frequent. So no play time on the 90 this weekend. But i did purchase all new rear lights for the old girl. They are the standard type as i personally dont like the LED style. (i may change my mind once i can actually drive the 90 again) but also they are much cheaper to replace when you smash one
So here is a quick photo of the lights in one side of the rear. they still need fixing in to place and wiring to the loom. that will have to be another day though. Also noticed i still need to pull the masking tape off the reflector. Click image to enlarge |

Been looking at seating for the 90, As i currently have some old Discovery tdi seats in and these have collapsed and generally look abit s**t. I have stumbled across the Sparco R100 seats and wondered has anyone fitted these and what are they like? they also look like you can buy fixing plates and the runners for them from Island 4x4, are these a straight fit on to the existing seat box to where original defender seats are mounted?

Not much happened with the build this weekend, due to: A) the weather been so nice! B) finding a broken spring and worn out shock on my D2.
Isnt it fun owning land rovers, they like to keep us on our toes haha So on the 90 i just added some new door handles and started fixing the lights onto place, also sprayed the inside of the boot door black. Waiting on parts for the engine to turn up, and now also waiting on new springs and shocks. The boot door now with black checker plate. Ordered the Turbo hoses and intercooler hoses and some more hose clips so can connect that up one night this week.
Then its on to the wiring, and put the wings back on and the bonnet, After that its get some new seats and seat mounts and removable steering wheel. Will it ever end!!!! haha But i can see the light at the end of the tunnel its only a tiny dot of light but its defiantly there |

Turbo and Intercooler hoses are now attached, hopefully got all the pipes in the correct place lol,
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Then crawled under it and fitted the extended bump stops as i found these at the back of the container. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The back of said container is slowly giving me more space to move about in again Click image to enlarge Finally for the weekend i made a start on removing the old headlight units out of the wings, I should have probably done this at the beginning of the strip down nevermind. After finding the screws to be all rusty and the heads rounded off i gave up and will come back with a drill thats got charge in it to drill out the screws Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
