Our 2nd Defender / Td5 110 dcpu
Ok ,

Had this about a week now and thought it was about time to
get some pics up of my 90's replacement.

I had realised that my 90 was past it's best and was really needing new bulkhead and quite a
bit of work to have it in a condition that my Mrs would come with me and enjoy some future trips
I was never going to replace the 90's bulkhead, quite simply as I realised I could spent the money
on upgrading to something a bit fresher that didn't need the work

SO I SOLD IT!! Sad

About two weeks went past of that "Defenderlessness" empty feeling inside

I was actively searching for a 110, and probably a dcpu.

Low and behold , one popped up for sale in my city about 3 miles from home , and it was almost perfect!!

Unfortunately, it sold just after I had my funds together Big Cry

So continuing the search , and watching things coming and going on line, I spotted one that looked nice
but was also "only" around 450 miles away!

Photos exchanged and messages received then a price agreed.

It was on the south coast and we agreed to meet the sellers at Bristol airport late on a Friday night
after a flight from Edinburgh

Long story short , everything went smooth and we did the deal and shook hands.

My wife and I were now ready for quite a drive up to Edinburgh after a stay in the Bristol travel inn Thumbs Up

A relatively early start the next morning and after a wrong turn to Cardiff , then a detour to Blenheim for sightseeing
we managed to make our journey up home to Scotland (ironically where the vehicle was first supplied from)
We felt like we were bringing it home Cool

A long drive and a late arrival, but home safe without a single issue.
A couple of very VERY chuffed 110 owners

Fitted my roof rack , seat risers and some soundproofing to the front , a few
jobs on the cards, as this is going to be my daily runner!!
Company car gone, Mrs P has a New Evoque as a bribe for Defender compliance!!

Thanks.

Never even thought to say.

2002 , TD5. , Oslo Blue

And almost as it came out of the factory.

Have fitted my rack & seat risers
And also installed some soundproofing in the front.

That was on my radar until it appeared with 'SOLD' against it - still on eBay though...

Also just sold my 90 which is 22 years old tomorrow & had been owned by me for the last 16 years - replacement is a 2002 Bonnati grey DCPU which is just so different in all ways Thumbs Up

Looks great, I did 150K miles in my Td5 DC, loved it but and got rid of it after i got my the 2.2 CSW sometimes wishI had held onto it.

Enid - nope, saw that but have bought a low mileage County in need of some TLC - gives me something to tinker with over the summer months before it gets used for what it was built for in the winter. First Land Rover (Discovery & Freelander don't count as they're the wrong shape to be called Land Rovers) I have ever owned that has carpet inside... might be looking for a set of rubber mats though as I hate to think what state the carpets will be in by the end of the shooting season Shocked

A few subtle changes to happen over the next few day

Black badges and window tints before the weekend
Then hopefully will get my new headlights fitted on Sat Cool

Planning on getting the chequer plate done black
And have XS gloss black surrounds & grille waiting to get fitted also

Surprised at the amount of wind noise from the roof rack
And still in two minds about getting my 50" lightbar fitted Question

Got the lights from SP Land Rover

Quick delivery , website price was cheaper than eBay store
(Probably because the get shafted with fees)
And very simple to install
I bought new rings as I knew the originals were rotten. Thumbs Up My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.
