very tidy install, I think I will do the same when I fit a double din, looks to be useful for trailer hitching too! Thanks for the info! My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Have you figured out how to flip the image yet? Would this camera work equally well if set higher up on the vehicles rear? Thanks

Hi, your link seems to link to a numberplate kit and not the little camera you show in the pictures. Have they changed their link. Thanks Mark |

Hello
I've changed the screen as the flip up unit didn't seem to like being flipped so often.... Still not managed to flip the screen but I still find the view very good, getting you much closer than I could looking in the mirror / behind. Click image to enlarge |

Thread revival
I only got around to fitting mine last week. I was re-covering my headlining so thought it a good time to start/finish the reverse camera. I don't like the idea of a dash mounted screen and my radio is only single din with no screen. So as my visors are already off for relining in black to match the front and back, I decided to fit in in there As you can see by the pic, still needs some tidying and finally the material covering but works great in practice. Both screen and camera power wired into the reverse light. Takes half a second if that to display. Picture attached was with camera not in final position. Ha, nope. But I seem to remember there being two little wires at the camera end. Really really small ones, one black and one white from memory. I think cutting one of those flips it but I want to make sure before I do it I'd like to lose the lines too TD5 Defender 90

Most screens have buttons to flip the image horizontally and vertically by software, I would look for that first. Cheers, Vincent
