the only thing I've modified recently is add the ABS A-bar section of my bullbar, I'm still torn whether to add the bullbar side extensions:
Click image to enlarge I've got spotlights to fit to the A-bar, but I need to sort the wiring out and also modify the Mantec Brackets too. If anyone has the plastic LR brackets and they are breaking, the Mantec ones are stainless steel (ref 5-AB-DEF). That is a Rebel 4x4 Aluminium steering guard with the recovery eyes, and yes they are 265x75R16 BFG ATs
The steering guard was one of the first things I fitted when I got the truck, and yet look what I managed to do on a beach in Wales last year.... Click image to enlarge Old Vs New for comparison........ Hence the nice shiny 'Sumo' steering bar and the sticker now on the steering guard EDIT Photo hosting Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum Last edited by I.AM_a driver on 24th Sep 2015 4:34pm. it was a bit of a pain but I managed to drive to Gwyn Lewis and buy a Sumo Bar replacement, and fitted it back at the campsite! I reckon the original bar had been weakened, and me trying playing around on the beach (J-turn in a defender, no chance!) probably wrenched it in combination with the wide grippy tyres. My steering wheel ended up upside-down but still worked OK so I took it easy until I sourced the replacement.
Yes Mark it would be good to see you there, I will be there all weekend I'm helping to organise it, should be a good weekend and I'm really looking forward to being part of the world record attempt Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |

whoops, haven't really kept this thread up to date!
I'll post a few mods here soon, but for now here's the most recent- fitting the Patriot Roof Rack that I sourced through Brendan/leeds. Hmm so they are, must be Facebook changed their system. I can't copy picture links on my phone, I'll try to remember when I'm next on the laptop, hopefully fix them in the next couple of days. Mark S
