Black smoke sounds to me like Fuel, have you had the injectors cleaned or serviced? I would try running a treatment through and change where you fill up 1st. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Black smoke is usually an imbalance or fuel and air. Have you got any diganostics to get live readings?
Is your inlet manifold clean? And are you boosting 14psi? |

I would be checking turbo/intercooler hoses for blockage. These can delaminate inside & impede the air flow. The intercooler itself could also be partially blocked & may need cleaning, particularly after the distance your vehicle has travelled.
Is engine performance OK apart from the smoke? Most of what I have described would result in reduced or variable power output. Cheers, Lionel |

Hello, good morning, Lionel.
The material I have described is totally new. They have not done so far 10,000 km As for the engine, taking the smoke is fine Regards Joćo Pinto |
