Hey eric, it did and it didn't! The first 22 miles were spot on, nice even pace to bring me in under 3.30. Over the distance of half a mile I went from feeling great to rubbish. The wheels had come off and refused to go back on. The last 4 miles were purgatory and I finished in 3.39! So I beat my 19 year old time which is a positive.

I'm sad to say that it wasn't an enjoyable event - I was constantly chopping my stride to avoid being tripped and there was elbow on elbow contact from start to finish. Just too many people. For a mile or so I was stuck behind one guy wearing compression shorts who had suffered a code brown, which had gone up his back and down his legs. Nice. That was mile 14, so he had a long way to go in that state!

I'm done. Back to shooting, touch rugby and beer Thumbs Up

Well done Huttopia, and by the sound of things you didn't get any "code brown" "overspray"?

Well done mate!

Think I'd still be going now! Bow down The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

Yep did it also, been on my 'to do' list since I was 20.

Very busy and it was great but then again I wasn't racing it.

Loved every minute even chopping and dodging round the very busy course.

So al in all very pleased, just can't walk now, everything is very sore

Yep that's it, had to come down the stairs backwards much to the amusement of the children with zero sympathy from Mrs Tiger who just sees it as self inflicted!

I've put my walking boots on just to give my ankles some help Shocked

I did it as well.

Managed to get round in 4:18 which is within a couple of minutes of the time I did it in 32 years ago!

I was handed my finishers medal by the Duchess of Cambridge!!

Sounds like the same aches and pains all round. I have just managed to take the dog for a walk but negotiating anything that goes up or down is very difficult.

Well done to everyone who did it ---------------------------------------------------------------
