Whilst the headlining is out for sound-proofing I'm trying to get the above done albeit without the alarm sensor for now. The plan is to install a switch for the rear door which activates a 2nd interior light when the door is opened and connect it to the door-operated factory alarm so it illuminates when the vehicle is unlocked with the fob.
I've found the grey plug in the headlining at the front but confused by the wiring diagram and just wanted to check exactly how to connect the wires. Do I piggy back the 2 purple wires from the front interior light and connect them to the rear interior light then run the earth down to the switch before back to the grey plug or alternatively, run 3 new wires (2 x live and 1 x earth) from the grey plug to the rear light and switch? Any help is much appreciated Harry |

Thank you Dorsetsmith
So purple brown and black neg from grey plug to rear light and then purple blue starting at plug > rear door switch > light? Any idea what type of connectors are required to go into the grey plug? They look similar to the pins on the black ECU plug but wanted to check before ordering them. Do I need to activate the rear door/10AS link with a Nanocom or will it automatically detect the addition? Thanks, Harry |

No as all the door switch work to one in put to the 10AS ( bar the drivers door switch ) So purple brown and black neg from grey plug to rear light and then purple blue starting at plug > rear door switch > light? Yes also purple white wire to the light from Gray plug PM PaulMc re connectors |
