It seems to me that MAP increase just a little (0,05 bar). Any comments? The original hose from intercooler to air inlet manifold that I removed is very dirty inside, full of a sort of oil and it is cooked and hardened. Ciao Vinicio |

Hi Vinicio
Do you have more pics of the processs ? What did you have to remove to fit the hoses ? Especially the one on the right side (passenger) of the car ? Ciao Joao Pedro, You need to remove only front grid, fan cover and to loose a support of the AC gas circuit to make the gap to put Your hand inside . Then You need a long screwdriver and a little bit of patience because to fit again the hose in this point You need to put Your hand alternative from up side and from down side. The gap is very little, I hope You have little hands like me! May be at the end of this job You will find many scratches on Your hands and arms! Don't worry, they disappear in few days!!! Sorry, no more pics. Vinicio Last edited by vinsell on 2nd Mar 2011 9:16pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Gave it a mega clean - and once again showed up what cack quality the alloys are! At least it's mostly gleaming in the sunshine now! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

I've been meaning to do the same for weeks. Luckily it was washed inside and out when it was playing up and at the garage... Still need to do underneath though. The pressure washer blew up (liturally) just before Christmas, and I never have enough pound coins for the self use pressure washers at the petrol station.... |

Packed it full of luggage, skis and sledges and about to head off to the alps - fingers crossed I'll be back in 1500 miles trouble free!

[/quote] Good work on Grabber TR's? You might have a bit more traction with mud terrains! Looks like great fun though! |

Oh, forgot reason for the post, fitted a pair of Mud rails to the drivers seat, at 6'3" I'm wondering if it was the right choice, the roof has become a permanent sun-visor and I'm ducking to see out the sides. Let's see if I can handle it for the journey to the alps.
Seems more comfortable if I could just move the screen up a couple of inches! |

Thought I'd take advantage of the sun and took the rubber mats off the floor. PHEW! The carpets were wet and mouldy in places with a winter of condensation and leaks - they really need to dry out. Stank too.
All it needs is a bit of warmth to dry and an airing. I'll probably give them a proper clean in the summer when it can dry thoroughly. Stuck a bottle of Forte yellow top in too. We'll see what difference that makes and fitted some RDX light guards at the back. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
