How should I go about flushing the power steering?
So I've got a shiny new steering box to go on the RRC, including a spare drop arm!! Whistle not going to get caught out there Mr. Green , and I need to flush the pump before the new box goes on. And in true Land Rover style it's a factory secret Banging Head

Will allowing all the old oil drain from the system via the open pipes suffice? especially if I sacrifice some new fluid to flush it through.. of will this be an under power undertaking? RRC 2.4 TD... it's either a stretched 90 or shrunken 110!!

Flush through with new PAS fluid.
With bleeding I believe the wheels should be off the ground on the front I.e. On axle stands so you can turn the steering wheel with the engine running lock to lock. TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Right so your saying just let gravity do the work and give it some clean just to encourage all the old stuff to go?

And the bleeding bit I've got covered.. there is also a bleeding screw (time will tell if it's correctly named) on the pump itself, which should allow me to get most the air out the system before lock to lock begins! RRC 2.4 TD... it's either a stretched 90 or shrunken 110!!
