Geobloke, I'm interested in the Alisport manifold as I too have a VNT Turbo, is the any noticeable difference between the old design manifold and this one?

Hi Will. I have a standard albeit new Garrett turbo. Hybrid would be the next step up. The difference of a standard turbo, full sized inter cooler, manifold and remap (generic so not tuned to my engine - defo need this next) is remarkable. The exhaust note seems a little sweeter ESP mid range. Low Rams are dogged by over fuelling hence the need for a retune. Once retuned I am hoping for great things.

Physically speaking the differences are as CDN38 says longer header tubes and a shorter coolector. The important thing is that it is a straight swap incl. standard gaskets.

I personally fitted this manifold for peace of mind and longevity. The Miffster is a keeper and will be our stead for many many years to come.

Geobloke, I am in the throws of putting this set up on a friends truck. The Allisport exhaust manifold, and a VNT turbo. One thing I see first off is there is almost no room between the top of the centrifuge filter and the manifold, as well as the turbo. How do you get the filter cap off for filter changes? Certainly you shouldn't need to remove the turbo to do it, but it is really that tight! Not to mention one of the bolts for the cover is obscured by the manifold.

Mine was remapped by Alive but it produced too much smoke. I had to get it reset at Land Rover after being stopped by the Police and given a VRN. (vehicle rectification notice, giving me 7 days to fix it)

I since got it remapped by Mike at Dynachip and after some adjustments it's perfect. More performance (although not as much as the Alive remap) but without the smoke screen l had after Alive did it.

However l don't think Dynachip do postal remaps, so no good if you are not in the UK.
