Thanks gents, all good advice, and is all noted.
I'll take it all onboard except perhaps the hole in the roof. You see, there is already a cable run unto the headlining and a plugged hole in the roof, so I'd like to utilise that instead of a whole new cable run up via the snorkel. Photobucket is down just now, otherwise i'd attach some photo's illustrating the plug. Cheers Andy |

Just to clarify, do you mean run the cable up the side of the snorkel, or inside the snorkel. Sorry just want to be clear. Cheers Andy |

Sorry I missed this thread for a while.
On the exterior of the Snorkel but nearest the LR side, it's fairly hidden then and you could use zip ties to secure. Or some adhesive plastic cable clips. It just an idea of possible use. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Yep, for your use I'd definitely use as I suggested then straight onto the rack to the lights.
You'd barely even notice it. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Ok, think you might have convinced me.
Looks like i will be removing old wiring this weekend...... So, I assume you run the new wiring into the engine bay between the bulkhead and bonnet and then over the back towards the passenger side then down into the battery box? The plugged hole is neat and not water ingress, so not sure i fancy dicking around with that........ Cheers Andy |

Hi all,
Ok, have all the parts amassed, started tackling this job at the weekend. Started by jigging out the T-connectors around where I want them to go and also where the conduit between. I have taken the short snake down into the garage to run the upper cables, I intend to solder and splice the cables for the rack in my garage, then when that part of the loom is complete, transfer it to the vehicle, then run the lower part of the loom into the battery box, where I will then solder the cables together. All a bit trial and error! Will post pictures once I have soldered and fitted the top loom. Cheers Andy |
