It's likely to be either wear or resistance in the linkage or the lock itself. As a first step, I'd give the lock a good blast of your favourite aerosol lubricant, work it in a bit and see if that cures it. Darren

Thank you, I did do that prior to building the door car back up, ill see if lubing up the door lock pin helps.

Have a look at http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52876.html My problem was on a front door but the mechanisms are similar.

Thanks John, that looks about right what I need, is that just a bit of elastic rope, trying to think where I can get some from.

Make sure that the actuator is adjusted properly.
So that the solenoid can operate through its full range when locking/unlocking. |
