but I'd really love a "like" button to let those who are braver with their posts than I know I really like what they are saying, filming and advising on.
is a like button possible? And thanks to everyone else - honestly, every post is great.

This comes up a few times a year and I'll explain why I'm not going to implement a "Like" button.
Basically it's because this forum is not Facebook. It's different and I'd like it to remain so. If you like something, or appreciate it, take 10 seconds and add a reply saying so. Even an emoticon or emoji. Better a quick comment to say "thank you" or explain how it helped you. I'm sure you're not asking Facebook to add a section to add a little icon of your Defender's colour and spec next to your posts   1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

PS Nick, I can see some value in a Like button and it is a fair suggestion, but on balance I think the forum is better without

Fair point Martin and thanks for the reply.
Make the effort and leave a response I get it. Just think in the age of quick browsing and busy lifestyles some kind of fast "I've read and like what you have posted" may encourage more people to contribute. However We're not click farming here so I'll make sure I comment more when I see cool posts. Cheers |

For what it's worth and as a regular poster here, I do also participate in some other forums which do have a like button, and I find it naff and rather pointless! I fully agree with Martin on this.
