SOLD......SOLD.....SOLD......SOLD......SOLD......
Taken out of my pet and child free 2010 Puma 90 Both parts are in very good condition. They have both been coated with spray glue to adhere an alcantara roof lining over the top which didn't work out! The lining come away because the spray glue that I used wasn't strong enough! I then gave up and bought a new alcantara roof lining! I have started to cleane and removed the thin layer of spray glue that I used off of one part of the rear section of the lining as can be seen in the picture. I used a glue remover on a rag which wasn't hard to do. I run out of the glue remover then packed away in the box and forgot about it. Now I'm clearing the shed out for the summer I need the space and haven't got the time to finish the job! £150 + postage £40 insured Can collect from Southend SS2 Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... Matt Yes! But when I offered the buyer insurance on the postage he started to get funny demanded I had to pay for collection and give him a full refund if it didn't arrive in perfect condition - that was before I sent it! So I refunded him before we got to that stage.... ! 2010 Defender 90 HT

Is it possible to cut out the sunroof part and line with a seal of some sort? Has anyone done this?

Also, will it fit into a 300tdi 90? Can't imagine they'd have changed the roof much would they..... 1994 Defender 90 300TDi

I have done this, not easy but possible. It is harder with the new type of headlining material as it is a devil to cut but my advice would be to use a Stanley knife, the plastic composite material will quickly blunt the blade so make sure you have plenty of spares. The older type of headlining was thinner and made of a different material and was a lot easier to cut. The sunroof inner seal lip will fit snugly around the cut out, just make sure you measure accurately which is not as easy as it sounds as the front headlining has a dip where the sunroof goes so measure very carefully. Also do not try and cut through the headlining in one go but make many light cuts until you have cut through. On the round corners try and find a side plate or similar that has the same curve so you can use it as a guide while cutting.
Yes it will fit a 300Tdi as headlinings have not changed much at all in fitment For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Glad to help. I kept the cut out which was an exact fit from the original headlining in case I ever needed it again it has been stored in an outbuilding. I have measured it and the dimensions are 67 x 32.5 centimetres. Though of course Land Rover in their wisdom fitted different sized sunroofs. If you go ahead with the cutting mask up with masking tape then draw the shape on that as it helps to get a smooth cut in the headlining. Though it pays to get as neat a cut as possible the fact that the rubber seal goes over the cut out by about three quarters of an inch so will hide any slightly rough edge.
