I have had bits from FCX, TWISTED Over the years, honestly the work from Phil at OEM is the best, as said above, near and tidy, and to the standard of Land Rover factory.

Had mine trimmed by Ruskin Design, very professional, discussed the design needed in advance and agreed it. Have also had leather trimmed by loads of the standard suppliers and by far Ruskin is streets ahead of them. Very impressed and they are trimming my new console once the v8 has been fitted.

Not a big fan of Ruskin, too many creases and ripples for my liking!

To be fair they will trim as you want it, and are bespoke.
That's the way I wanted it - if you look at the nappa leather there aren't any ripples or creases in that as that was how I wanted it. They will do it whatever way you want. It's not off the shelf although I think TMD do some of their stuff off the shelf but they will creat the exact look you want. Obviously you pay for what you get and bespoke will always be more expensive than off the shelf. James |

That is the absolute beauty of owning a Defender. It is so incredibly customisable and there is so much great kit out there. Each to their own and I think we all have a different idea of what our Defender will mean to us. I'm not sure there's a vehicle out there is even comes close (bar perhaps a VW camper)
I use my 110 as a daily drive and ferrying the family around. I would like a touch of luxury and finesse (and a bit of quiet and comfort!) Can't wait to finally get stuck in. |

Very nice. Ruskin are a long way from me, but I have read of them in various L.R. Mags. When's the V8 going to be finished? Pickles. |

I,ve had a few bits from Phil at OEM and as others have said the quality is spot on,
But more importantly for me Phil is a straight up guy who listens to comments and makes suggestions to ensure I the customer am Happy. Anyone who read my build thread or anything since will have guessed I'm a tad OCD and even I struggle to find anything I can complain about I would strongly recommend talking to him before parting with any cash to some one else. I'm currently working in Chelsea and have popped into Kahn ( Chelsea truck company) several times and would put Phil's kit next to theirs all day for a fraction of the cost. AND NO I AM IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH OEM or PHIL. Click image to enlarge "Of Course, Of course, I ain't asking . I'm telling!!" |
