Amazing! The detailing is superb. How long did it take to design and build?

Steve,
Very interesting suspension geometry? Looks like Anti-roll bar and leaf springs in one? Steve |

Wid camper, that is a really tidy build, kudos to you.
I needed it for be a practical trailer too, though I just hit an issue. I'm always going on about lack of space...well now I need to get the v8 out and about, the trailer is definitely in the way and I'll need to get it out of the drive and back in every time I need to get the v8 out So I just stuck it on eBay. if it doesn't go in a week, it'll have to live at work. Steve, it's leaf spring with a hefty 'axle' holding the hub assemblies on. It should hold quite a bit of weight! |

Looks to me as though the axle has been cranked to improve ground clearance under the centre. Unusual, certainly, but not a bad idea. |

It looks home-made to me.
Edit - for the avoidance of doubt, this comment refers to the trailer at the start of the thread not Wildcamper's magnificent camping trailer. Last edited by blackwolf on 29th Mar 2017 9:36pm. Edited 2 times in total |

Built it over 5mths at weekends mostly just sundays, its got a bespoke tubular chassis, all baltic birch ply with 50mm kingspan in between skinned in 1.2mm aluminium, 10ft x 5 1/2 ft that was the hard bit , the reason it looks right is the size, seen others try it at 8x4 which is much easier as u don't need any joints in a ply sheet but it looks wrong. Might be for sale this year as I'm thinking of building another
