I had the same problem, what I did was to take the bottle jack place a scrap bit of wood on top and jacked it up to force the metal back into place. You just have to patient and keep and eye on the movement. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

the jack method above will work, as will a hammer.

Most rear steps fall off tbh

Mine has done exactly that. I tried it with a trolley jack and a bit of wood and had mild success. I was thinking of welding some big washers around the riv nuts to help spread the load but was worried I would fry the ecu so just left it. My friends now struggle to get into the back! 1953 80"

I wouldn't bother with the bit of wood, it'll just deform the wood. A flat peice of steel on top of the jack would do it.

You could always just get one of the steps that mount behind the tow bar.
