Tax exempt 90 anyone?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1974-N-LAND-ROVE...SwLEtYkSaL

One app on my phone tell me is a 90 SWB kit / 1974
Another app tells me its a Range Rover (or maybe a strange rover)? 1999 Defender TD5 110

1974 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 Shocked
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PROJECT VEHICLE. Looking at it, that means it’s a project for any buyer. Wink

I thought 'N' reg was 1995? Confused
And as far as I am aware no 90's are road tax exempt.

Looking at the bumper it should read PLEASE NOTE USED IN RAM RAID Rolling with laughter

And at £3,490.00 Shocked

WE ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST LAND ROVER DEFENDER STOCKISTS IN THE UK (FORMERLY ROSSENDALE LANDROVERS)

Rossendale Land Rovers have some pretty dodgy reviews both on this forum and elsewhere
Such as

I've had a couple of dealings with them now and both times the owner was very rude and unprofessional, he prefers dealing with cash if he can get away with it. I'd stay well clear of buying anything from them, buyer beware.

Rossendale Land rover seemed more of a "Get them in and sell them quick" outfit.
They gave me the keys and let me wander around all the stock and start them up but I think that was because they knew nothing about them. Any questions I asked were met with blank faces, you only have to look at some of their adverts to see the facts they get wrong. They seem over priced for what they sell.
They didn’t do any work on them and are not enthusiasts.
For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

An "N" suffix is 1974/5, but I don't see anything about that vehicle which is anything like that old. So either it has had a '74 plate legally transferred onto it, in which case its date of first registration will be that of the Defender not the transferred registration, or it is something of highly questionable legality.

I don't believe that it can legally be tax exempt (actually historic vehicles are not exempt anyway, rather the annual rate of duty is nil).

Either way the advertisement is very misleading.

Rossendale Land Rovers or whatever they call themselves these days "allegedly" have a poor reputation in the NW area. A couple of reputable LR dealers in the area always say to give them a wide berth. Makes you wonder why they have changed their name Whistle
