Anyone had this?

At one year old (now 3) my Defender Puma refused to turn over and when it did it was only just turning the engine half a turn and mostly it never turned over at all not even dimming the dash lights then after 10 minutes or so it would start as normal.. It did it again at 5am this morning, nothing then half a turn then nothing.... It was in to Morrisons Land Rover two years ago and they found nothing on the fault codes.... Any ideas?? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Only an idea from previous threads - an immobiliser problem? The starting after a wait suggests this to me as a self confessed mechanical fault guesser.

I was in position 2 on the key to allow for my ancilliary lamp to work and i never removed the keys? Kinda funny it has done it when almost new then again two years later.. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Mine imobalises itself all the time when it does this dont wait just take the keys out lock the LR with the fob wait for the red lamp to stop flashing fast then unlock try agin and it will burst into life no worries, moine does it all the time (bloody anoying) If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White

Benn having something similar lately. About 4-5 times wants to start and then dies. After 30 secs goes off and no prob. Just when engine is warm. Selenoid I guess.

I think there is a Service call about this Puma 110" SW

Many thanks for the replies.. Starter fails to even click and when it kicks in it sounds like it is hitting an almost siezed engine and cuts out after half a turn. Anyone know the red light sequence? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
