I have used the Latitude Cross in 7.50R16 flavour:

They're a good tyre, certainly efficient fuel wise and nice and quiet. They cut down through soft mud to find the hard quite well being narrow in section however in deep mud they falter. It's really a road tyre tread, despite Michelin's claims.

I now run BFG AT KO (i.e. old style) which have been on the car coming up on 18 months now and have done 50k. I like them a lot, they're not appreciably noiser or worse on fuel than either the Latitudes or the Cross-Contacts I had in between, but better off-road than both. Also I find that a 235/85R16 handles slightly nicer than a 7.50R16 on the road, I guess as the lower profile means there's less sidewall flex, however it's not a big deal.

When my BFGs are worn out, probably towards the end of this year, I'll most likely replace them with the new version. Just a shame they made the sidewall more aggressive to appease the fashion-conscious buyers, but I will have to live with it!

The sidewall blocks are there for a reason, if you were trying to transverse out of sunken ruts you'd appreciate them.
Otherwise you would be sliding along them sideways, they also help prevent sidewall damage. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

KO on my Wrangler for a long time: absolutely miserable in mud, no steering at all, driving in roots is a nightmair. Snow average, gravel bad as small stones are ejected at high speed only. On road Ok.
KM2 on my 110 puma for 2 years and 25k km, I sold them last year: good mud performance but nothing special. Steering in roots is better than KO. Snow - more than miserable, spend 2 winters on them, just dangerous. On road OK for MT. Stone ejection is fine. I had them in 255/85/16.
KO2 replaced the KM2 on my 110 puma: no stone ejection problems like KO, a guess BFG corrected this. Snow : good, mud better than KO, steering in roots is better, probably the side wall helps here. They fill up with mud for sure, but mud is ejected easier than KO. KM2 was better in mud. On road - quiet when wet road, no steering wheel vibration as with MTs. You can see rubber is really soft. Have them in 285/75/16 as I wanted to replace my old 33" tire with a other 33". However after measuring them they are max 275 wide, height is 32.9".
Cheers,
Delyan

I really hope BFG release these tyres in 255/85/16... Those I would buy in a heartbeat...

Both B F Goodwich AT and MT are good. I had the AT to start off with before switching over to KM2. Although they performed a little bit better off road, I wished I stayed with the AT. What ever I tried to do, I couldn't get the tyre to balance as nicely as the AT.

Exactly my thought too. I did email an enquiry to BFG a couple weeks ago asking this, but with no response yet. James

Unfortunately I couldn't find an email, so just had to mail a general enquiry through the BFG uk website. James
