Scotland 2016 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Phoenix Orange
They are metal and seem to be machined out. There is double sided tape on the rear and holes for rivets.

On the back of Mrs Doublea's Adventure, the badge was removed for warranty paintwork and seems to have been refitted with rivets alone. I suppose they removed the residue of the tape rather than buy a new badge.

When I fitted by new genuine badge to the 110, I used the tape only, and siliconed dummy rivet heads on.

I bought a cast aluminium badge off ebay for the front grille. It looked brand new to begin with, but has tarnished quickly - which I actually quite like. It was pretty inexpensive.
