2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Phoenix Orange

Plastic trim cap

Hello all,

I have a 110 Adventure, and am struggling to source a very small trim item.

The passenger grab handle has plastic caps at either end to cover the fixing screws. the left hand one fell off at some stage, (rubbish fixing), and obviously fell out of the door.

Sturgess in Leicester did manage to find the correct part eventually and ordered one. I never got it though as it was on back order. I've also managed to loose the paper work now after a year, and the new guy at Sturgess couldn't find it again, and really wasn't interested.

Has anyone else lost one and managed to get a replacement, any help with part number would be a great start. they are actually different left and right, regarding the fixing lug on the back. If I get one, its being glued in,

You can ask Startech, they put in those inserts into their 68 edition. They're plastic, covered with leather.

Hi Romadog,

No, but you seem to have access to Microcat, and may be more interested than LR to try and find it. The cap is for the passenger side dash grab handle. The leather covered ones from LR, have a plastic trim cap, that clips onto a plastic insert in the handle. Adventure edition definitely and probably AB edition but not sure.

Thanks for looking, it really is such a minor thing though, but annoying that LR can't find it, will probably try to make one from an old piece of plastic trim,

Understand LR declared these caps to be obsolete items now. They still sell the Adventure edition handle, but without the two caps.
