I recently had a winch bumper made to my design. It looks the same as a standard defender bumper, but is made entirely from 6mm steel. It mounts to the chassis legs in the usual place, as well as mounting to the chassis crossmember ( just beneath radiator) I have a Warn 9.5 xp fitted. It required me to cut out the pressedsteel grill surround, but not the plastic grill. Sits 20mm further forward than standard bumper. Allows the original Poly A-bar to be fitted. Includes steel mounting spacer instead of the the thin cheap looking bracket that currently hold the A-bar on. Also comes with replacement 4mm steel brackets for the upper mountings ( just under the bonnet) This bumper is tough as nails, looks almost exactly the same as factory one and even accomodates the original bumper end caps. I don't have any photos just now, but I'm taking a load of photos once my roll cage is fitted this weekend. I'll try to post some up. PM me if you're interested They're only made when required, so there is a delay in manufacturing. |
