I'm fitting a 265 wheel to the rear spare carrier. To prevent it from fooling with the rear wiper I needed to leave the spacers a bit distanced from the carrier as per below picture. I was able to tighten up the wheel bolts fine, but now I'm thinking I should perhaps get another set of spacers instead of leaving a gap between the carrier and the spacers. Opinions?

I expect it'd be fine like that, but you could always just pack behind it with a few washers if you wanted.

Neat idea with the steel wheel nuts bankz. I used few washers in the end as zsd suggested and it worked a treat. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html
