Quick google seems to suggest you will be ok?
Lots of kit car people using them and they seem to be ok. Another option I read about was a motor bike digital speedo which people fit and it needs a magnet on the drive shaft? I do think if fitted in the dash board as above it will look factory anyway, and must be better than a speedo jumping around the dashboard, so your doing anything between 28 mph and 38 mph say.... |

We used to fit push bike computers to the comp safari buggies in the past! Glue a magnet on the prop !
But, yeah I'm sure it'll be fine |

Because of this i would think.
Unless it has some sort of connection to wheel rotation (like many built in sat navs do) it wont work in tunnels, and can be affected by being surrounded by large buildings or trees. The speedo isn't tested on the MOT, however there's nothing to stop the tester issuing an advisory, which then stays on the record for the vehicle. |

By 'associated with', I meant that it's reading is related to it's connection, i.e. electronic or mechanically driven. However, as long as you know and are happy with the risk then that's fine Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? I think i did see a thing you could get for stereos where you put it on a wheel arch then magnetised the tyre with a wand, which then gave it a speed pulse.
